Alexander Albon is satisfied that after the GP of Steiermark he can add twelve points to the World Cup standings. The Thai says he was afraid he would fall out again after the tick he received from Sergio Perez. Albon and Max Verstappen agree on where the Red Bull Racing needs to be improved the most.

The race of Albon

Perez had a tough mission to drive from seventeenth place to the points, but did it excellently. With a few laps to go, the Mexican ended up behind Albon. Perez attacked the Red Bull driver in turn four and the two hit each other.

Albon was able to continue his way without damage, while Perez fell back with damage to his front wing. "I had Lewis-flashbacks", Albon joked after the race at Sky Sports. "But it was a good race."

"This weekend I lacked a bit of pace to be honest. I need to check where to find the time – we think we know. I am happy we got fourth – it was good to get some points after last week", Albon continued.

Fight with Mercedes

Albon doesn't know yet if they can catch up with Mercedes quickly. "I think it will be hard to be quicker than them now. They are really strong in the mid to high speed corners, which is kind of like Hungary. I think Max and I know the same area where the car is weak, we just need to adress it", concludes Albon.
