Mercedes seemed less dominant this weekend than last week. This is also apparent from qualifying, in which Max Verstappen has secured a spot on the first row of the grid. Yet one man stole the show: Lewis Hamilton.

With a magisterial round he put everyone on the Red Bull Ring at a great disadvantage. Beautiful and not entirely unimportant, but how relevant that is for the race on Sunday. Toto Wolff doesn't want to draw any conclusions from that yet.

GP of Styria not yet a run race

"Tomorrow is a very different story, just because of the weather. It will be dry, but not as hot as yesterday. Max is in the front row, so anything is possible. He can win the race. Valtteri has to try to get past Sainz. The McLarens were really good, just like last week."

"Tomorrow we can have a strong race, but today we've done a lot of things well in qualifying. We did a really good job in qualifying the bike in the last section. So the lap was perfect. The car was very good, but the driver was the deciding factor," said the Mercedes team boss in front of the ORF camera.
