The third free practice session for the Styrian Grand Prix was already postponed because too much water fell down and now the F1 organisation has decided to cancel this session completely.

Rain was already predicted

The heavy rain was predicted for the weekend before Saturday, and both the teams and media, were even informed by the organisation that FP3 and qualifying might not take place.

This also means that the second free practice session will now definitely be the leading option to determine tomorrow's starting line-up if qualifying does not go ahead as well. In that case Max Verstappen will be on pole position. However, qualifying could take place on Sunday morning.
