World champion Lewis Hamilton is not impressed by the psychological games that Red Bull Racing plays. The team from Austria has protested several times against Mercedes AMG F1, and Hamilton last weekend.

Red Bull protested three times against Mercedes during the weekend of the Austrian Grand Prix. One more successful than the other. The most important was the one after the collision with Alexander Albon and ignoring a yellow flag during qualifying. Both protests were awarded, causing the Briton to lose a podium place, and he was put back after qualifying. During the press conference leading up to the Styrian Grand Prix Lewis tells his story. Among others Formel1.de was present at the press conference.

Hamilton not impressed by protests

The world champion gets the question if the protests does something to him. "You should know me better," responds the Brit. "Psychological games don't work for me, you'll learn that at some point", the world champion continues.

Hamilton late in the middle or Red Bull's protests are out of desperation because this is the only way they can win. During qualifying, Red Bull was more than half a second slower than the German team: "I can't talk for Red Bull", is Hamilton friendly. Hamilton was heavily attacked from the Red Bull camp and was called a 'bad loser' among other things.

It looks like the Mercedes driver mainly wants to assert himself on the track. Not only does he have to beat Verstappen but also team mate Valtteri Bottas who won the Austrian Grand Prix last week.
