Brundle looks at Vettel: ''That's more like a divorce now''
- GPblog.com
Sebastian Vettel did not have his best weekend of his career in Austria. The German didn't make it past tenth place in the race, while nine drivers didn't make it past the finish line.
The fact that Vettel will leave at the end of 2020 had already been established for some time, but that the relationship between Vettel and Ferrari is broken, we saw really well around the Austrian Grand Prix. Vettel spoke the truth about contract negotiations, blamed his car for the inferior performance and Ferrari called it a stupid action that Vettel came into a spin.
Divorce Ferrari and Vettel
"Seb had a dramatic weekend. He only qualified in eleventh place and with a clumsy spin against Carlos Sainz he only finished in tenth place. The whole race he was fighting with oversteer, after he said the car had gotten worse since Friday," Martin Brundle said in his column for Sky Sports.
According to Brundle it's going from bad to worse. ''In any case it will be a short farewell season for Vettel and Ferrari and given the current situation that's not even bad. That relationship has now become very uncomfortable and even looks like a divorce," concludes Brundle.
