Max Verstappen will start Sunday's Austrian Grand Prix from the second row of the grid in third place. The 22-year-old was satisfied with his performance but wants to move up come race day. The fact that Verstappen is the only one to start on the medium could be a nice advantage.

"I am happy with third place. We started on another band tomorrow. It's also going to get a bit warmer, so it's going to be interesting", Verstappen told Paul di Resta following qualifying.

"I hope that's going to be to our advantage. Mercedes was clearly on a different level today, unfortunately. Let's see what we can do tomorrow."

"Last year we were also less competitive in qualifying, so I expect we are a bit better in the race. I'm the only one starting on another tyre in the top ten. We have nothing to lose, I'm looking forward to it. I'm going to make it as difficult as possible for them tomorrow," the Red Bull driver said.
