During the first practice sessions of the season, Mercedes secured positions one and two both times. According to Red Bull Racing driver Alexander Albon, the teams are close together in Austria.

If you take a look at the results after the first day in the mountains of Austria, you will no doubt predict a dominant Mercedes this weekend. According to Albon it's not so bad and there's not much room in between the teams "Everyone has come up to speed very fast here in Austria. Even after the first day we are close together", the Thai Briton tells versus Sky Sports F1.

An easy circuit

According to Albon this also has to do with the track where the first Grand Prix will be held. "It's a pretty easy track. If we had started in Hungary we would probably all have struggled a bit more with the car, but it feels good now".

What's more, Red Bull Racing has a clear idea of what still needs to be worked on. "We know exactly what we want to work on tomorrow for the short and longs runs. We also have a number of engine modes for tomorrow," the young driver concluded.
