Ferrari is not the favorite prior to the first race of the season in 2020. According to many, this year's title race between Mercedes and Red Bull Racing, but the drivers of Ferrari have not given up hope.

Vettel sees opportunities

Ferrari didn't come out of the winter particularly well. Where Mercedes and especially Red Bull had made a clear step forward, Ferrari stayed behind. The design was almost the same and there wasn't anything spectacular about the new Ferrari. Sebastian Vettel leaves at the end of 2020, but remains optimistic.

''We have to be realistic and not rely completely on the tests in Barcelona. We have not been defeated yet. It will be especially important to collect data. We need to learn more about the car and take it to the second race on this circuit. Then you will have much more data the second weekend," says Vettel in the preview of Ferrari.

The lesson for Leclerc

For Charles Leclerc, coming to Austria is a refresher. The Monegask led the race for a long time in 2019, but lost it by keeping the door open for Max Verstappen in the final lap. The Dutchman did not let himself be told that twice, but next time he will have to come from a better home.

''Austria really was an important moment for me last year where I saw that I can be much more aggressive on the track. I've used that experience more during the second half of the season and I can't wait to get back in the car now'', concludes the young Ferrari driver.
