Formula 1 came in 2019 with the Power Rankings for drivers, but prior to the 2020 season there are now the Power Rankings for teams. Which team is on one according to the panel of Formula 1 experts?

The expected top three

On Formula1.com you can see a new Power Ranking, in which Formula 1 has asked all its own experts for their opinion. Put the ten teams in order of speed towards Austria. A number of teams speak for themselves and the winter tests already showed a lot, but the experts still surprise in some areas.

Mercedes is the number one. Not very surprising, because after six world titles and a strong winter test few people will doubt the quality of the German team. However, Red Bull Racing follows in second place and with Max Verstappen behind the wheel everything is possible. Ferrari is number three for everyone, after a disappointing winter.

Surprises in the middle

Maybe that's where most of the excitement lies. On Tuesday GPblog.com looked ahead to the battle in midfield and the outcome of Formula1.com is surprising. On number four we find Racing Point, which passed the winter tests with a copy of Mercedes and is a favourite for everyone. However, on five we see a surprise.

Not McLaren, but Renault is put on five by the Formula 1 experts and we only find McLaren on number six. In seventh place we find AlphaTauri and behind them the teams that will most likely follow the rearguard. Alfa Romeo leads that group, followed by Haas and Williams.
