After one season with Renault, Daniel Ricciardo has already made the choice to continue with McLaren. According to Zak Brown the dream team is now complete.

Halfway through the 2018 season Ricciardo made the remarkable choice to make the switch to Renault, in order to get the team in the front of the field together. However, after one season with the French team, he already puts an end to that plan and will continue with McLaren in 2021.

The British team has finally caught its dreamed driver. "Daniel is a driver we wanted a few years ago. In the previous situation he chose Renault, but we've got our man this time. He's a seven-time Grand Prix winner," Zak Brown said enthusiastically during the F1 Nation podcast.

No title in 2021

The CEO of McLaren only remains realistic and thinks that the Australian will not be able to expand that number significantly in the near future. "I think he can win the championship in the right car. I just don't think we can give him such a car in 2021 if we are realistic. Hopefully we can give him a car with which he can show his talent".

"He's very exciting to watch on the track and off the track. I think the combination of Daniel and Lando Norris is a great duo. I can't think of a more exciting combination. I'm very excited about where both drivers are in their careers and I think we're going to have a great time", McLaren's top man concluded.
