The calendar looks rather short this year, but slowly but surely new races are being added. The race on the circuit of Mugello is about to be officially announced and will allegedly receive the title of Grand Prix of Tuscany.

The Italian Grand Prix, which is held every year, traditionally takes place on the Monza circuit. This year the track will most likely be joined by another Italian circuit: Mugello. Several sources already report that it's only a matter of time before the official announcement arrives, possibly even next Monday.

Moreover, according to the Italian branch of Motorsport.com there is already a name for the race. As the Grand Prix of Italy is occupied, the event will be called the Grand Prix of Tuscany. The race will also be held in the weekend of September 13th. It will be a special race for Ferrari as the team will celebrate its 1000th race in Formula 1 at Mugello.

Circuit already explored by Ferrari

There will only be no audience to celebrate it with the team from Maranello, because like the other circuits, the measures against the coronavirus remain in place. To fill the financial gap, the province of Tuscany, the municipality of Scarperia and the municipality of Florence have done their part.

The Grand Prix of Tuscany will not only be a weekend where Ferrari will celebrate its anniversary, but possibly also for the victory. The team got to know the circuit well during the two-day test it organised last week. During this strange season every little bit will help!
