Red Bull Racing already went to the first Grand Prix in Australia with great confidence and seems to travel to the Red Bull Ring with the same self-confidence. With new updates, Max Verstappen should be able to compete for victory.

Red Bull comes with a mega update

During the winter tests in Barcelona, Red Bull and Mercedes were already the team to beat. Ferrari proved to be way behind, where Red Bull finally closed the gap. Red Bull was eager to race in Australia, but is now also able to make an important impact on its own ground for the 2020 championship.

''The car at Spielberg won't be the same as the one we brought with us for Melbourne. We've brought an upgrade that was actually planned for the fifth race in Barcelona and one that was only meant for the race in Austria. However, based on CFD and the wind tunnel, we can already take it with us now," says Helmut Marko to Auto, Motor und Sport.

Still uncertainty

A big update package for Red Bull, which was already confidently at the start in Melbourne. ''It's an uncertain factor, because we're actually taking the second and third update with us now, while we haven't tested the first package yet. So we have to assume that the data is correct'', Marko isn't entirely reassured yet.

After a long break the Formula 1 season of 2020 will finally start with the Austrian Grand Prix and Red Bull can take full advantage of that. During the last two times there was a win by Verstappen and if the Dutchman manages to do that again in the two races on the Red Bull Ring, he will make a big leap towards his very first world title.
