Max Verstappen was able to win the last two editions of the Austrian Grand Prix and therefore the Dutchman is also favorite for the first two races of the coming season. Mercedes had some technical problems last year that they have - expected - now solved and Ferrari is always fast, but whether they are fast enough is still to be seen. For Valtteri Bottas, Red Bull is the favorite to win Austria.

Go all the way

In the Sky Sports F1 Vodcast the Finn says when talking about Austria: "Red Bull certainly comes to mind", which is a team that has a good chance of victory. This partly based on their previous results, but also based on what they showed during the winter tests in Barcelona.

"They showed a good performance in testing and I'm sure they're going for it during those two race weekends in Austria, in their home race. So yeah, they'll be strong." Bottas doesn't do away with other teams, because it's very difficult to estimate where everyone stands.

"Who knows what you've been able to do since testing. After all, we haven't really been able to see a session in Melbourne. Which one of the teams had a big update and things like that." Consequently, Bottas expects it to be a battle between the three top teams, but what the ranking is... that's also a mystery to the Finn.

"I still think it's a battle between the three top teams, between us, Red Bull and Ferrari. But what the order is and what the holes will be. No idea", says Bottas who is fitter than ever and ready to start.
