Max Verstappen participated together with Lando Norris in the Virtual 24 Hours of Le Mans for Team Redline this weekend. They shared a car with simrace aces Atze Kerkhof and Greger Huttu. It was a star formation, but to no avail, because just after midnight the team dropped out.

The #20 car of Team Redline was in the hands of Verstappen when it went wrong. The Red Bull Racing driver was in the lead, but was chased by the #1 Rebellion Williams of Formula 2 driver Louis Deletraz and others. Verstappen got some technical problems on his simulator (screen stopped, among other things) and crashed.

As a result he had lost the lead already and on that same lap things went wrong again in the Porsche corners. After that second crash long repairs in the pits were necessary. Atze Kerkhof continued to take over the car, but he also crashed soon after and then the team decided to give up.

With just under eight hours to drive, the race is now led by the two cars of Rebellion Williams. The #1 of Deletraz in the lead, followed by the #13 of Jack Aitken and others. Third place is in the hands of the #3 ByKolles car, with professional drivers Tom Dillmann and Esteban Guerrieri behind the wheel.
