Kimi Raikkonen is known for his down-to-earth look on life and especially when it comes to the world of Formula 1. You won't easily catch him on a politically coloured opinion and he also keeps his colleagues at an appropriate distance.

Where other drivers still have an opinion about certain things that are going on in the world or about the course of events in Formula 1, Raikkonen says nothing. For example, Sebastian Vettel has repeatedly expressed negative opinions about the current hybrid engines.

Raikkonen, one of the few active drivers who has experienced the V10 era, says in an interview with Infobae.com that he really doesn't care about the current engines. "I really don't care. Every engine regulation has its own characteristics and it's up to the drivers to get the most out of it".

Raikkonen is always himself

He applies this ability to put things into perspective to almost every subject. Driving at more than 300 km/h he calls 'normal' and when asked which F1 driver he would invite to a party, he says: "Not many I think, probably just my friends [of which Vettel is one]."

He can hardly explain this attitude himself, because he says it all goes by itself. "This is just how I am and my reaction is just how I feel at that moment. There's no point in pretending or being fake."
