Max Verstappen is one of the favourites for the world title in 2020, but with a still unclear number of races, it will be essential to perform every race, according to Helmut Marko.

For the time being there are eight races on the 2020 Formula 1 calendar, but with that the season is most likely not finished yet. Fifteen to eighteen races is what Formula 1 aims for 2020, but where and when those races should be held is still unclear. All the more reason to demand constant performance from the drivers who want to compete for the world title.

Verstappen has been warned

''Since you don't know how many races are being held this season, every race is more important than ever. Every race is like a final and that makes reliability an important part of this championship. Every mistake can cost you the world title and so can a driver's mistake'', Marko warns his young pupil.

Marko is still convinced that Red Bull Racing has a big chance in 2020 and even states that one team has already been excluded from the title race. ''It will be between Mercedes and us in 2020. In our opinion, Ferrari is not at the top to compete for the world title'', concludes the Red Bull top man opposite F1-insider.com.
