We had to wait three months for it, but in England there is finally a Formula 1 car driving around on a circuit. It's Mercedes who is the lucky team, as today they are testing an older car from 2018 at Silverstone.

February 28th was the last day of the winter test. Most of the teams packed their gear with good hope as they had to get ready for the start of the season in Australia, two weeks later. As we know it all went differently. On the 13th of March, before the engines of the cars were able to start, the Australian Grand Prix was cancelled due to a number of corona infection within several teams.

Rapidly all races that followed were postponed or cancelled but fortunately there are races again in the last few weeks. In the Nascar and IndyCar the season is now underway and Formula 1 is about to start as well. On the 3rd of July there will be driven again in Austria but today Mercedes had the scoop on the Silverstone circuit. Vatteri Bottas drove the W09, a car from two seasons ago, out of the garage. Lovely that it is going to start again.
