Toto Wolff is currently the celebrated team boss in Formula 1, but when Jan Lammers has to pick his team, he still appoints Christian Horner from Red Bull Racing.

Horner started in Formula 1 as a team boss at Red Bull Racing at a young age. With 33 years and only experience as a team boss in the F3000, the Brit was the youngest and least experienced team boss ever in Formula 1, but that choice wouldn't be a bad one for Red Bull. With Sebastian Vettel, Red Bull won four world titles for constructors and the driver between 2010 and 2013.

Horner and his talents

"Horner comes to me as a skilled and stable factor within Red Bull. In the past he has achieved great things with Vettel, but in the future he has also been able to work with beautiful drivers. It's no coincidence that so many drivers are breaking through at Red Bull. Horner can deal with that just fine," says Lammers to Motorsport.com.

After the titles with Vettel Horner no longer won a prize with Red Bull and he saw all titles go to Mercedes. 2020 should be the year of the turnaround, with Max Verstappen behind the wheel of a car from Adrian Newey who, with the Honda engine, should finally have built a car fast enough for the title.
