We have been waiting for weeks, if not months, for final approval before the start of the season. It has to take place in Austria. The Minister of Health in Austria Rudolf Anschober has indicated that a decision will be taken after Whitsun.

We have to be patient for another weekend before we know if the Formula 1 season actually starts in Austria. On Thursday there was a press conference of the Minister of Health in Austria in which he discussed a possible Grand Prix. Two weeks ago a plan was submitted to the government to guarantee the health of all present when the Grand Prix is held.

"We are now ready to process that plan. Our experts are looking closely at it as it is a considerable decision". It would be the first major sporting event in Austria to get permission.

The Minister continues: "I assume we'll have the results immediately after Whitsun and we'll make a decision." We have to be patient for a few more days.
