With some regularity, items from Formula 1 are auctioned, the proceeds of which go to a charity. For example, an online auction took place for the British Starlight Children's Foundation. This foundation dedicates itself to seriously ill children and to raise money they have been allowed to auction all kinds of items. These included a race overall by Max Verstappen, which yielded a sky-high amount of money.

24.000

One could bid on all kinds of Formula 1 related items, but Max Verstappen's suit was the most eye-catching lot. The suit of Verstappen yielded a staggering amount of almost 24,000 Pound. It was an overall that was worn by Verstappen in 2019 during the season.

The proceeds of this suit contributed significantly to the total proceeds of the auction, which amounted to approximately 83,000 Pound. Another high-flyer was a hunting experience for two during the Grand Prix of 2021, which yielded over 4,500 Pound. There were also guided tours of the Mercedes and Williams factories, as well as driving a Formula 1 car yourself.
