The fact that Zak Brown, as a team owner, takes things a bit differently from his predecessor Ron Dennis may be clear by now. With a trip by Fernando Alonso to the Indy 500 Brown set the tone, but perhaps more could follow.

In a conversation with Supercars SideTracked Brown says he is open to different races. Brown is a racing enthusiast and likes it when his drivers come out in different classes. Alonso drove under McLaren IndyCar and Le Mans, but for Daniel Ricciardo and Lando Norris, Brown has even more in store.

Brown is different

"People know by now that I'm a little different than other bosses in Formula 1. I like it when our drivers take part in Daytona of Le Mans," says Brown, who is mainly asked about the possibility of Ricciardo and Norris taking part in the Bathurst 1000. A 1000 kilometre race on the Mount Panorama Circuit in Australia.

''I think they'd both like to do it. However, it depends on the calendar, because that race often coincides with the Grand Prix of Japan. That's why I can go sometimes watch, but not always'', concludes Brown, who in 2020 with Sainz and Norris will already have a calendar in F1 that is full enough.
