Felipe Massa does not expect that Sebastian Vettel will be driving next to Lewis Hamilton at Mercedes in 2021. However, the former driver of among others Ferrari hopes that the German will be able to find a team where he can show what kind of driver he is. In an interview with Ran.de Massa talks about his thoughts about Vettel and which team he can turn to.

"Maybe there's a chance for him at Renault, or Mercedes. I just don't know yet what Valtteri Bottas' plans are and if he stays or not. Sebastian is best to wait and see what happens", Massa thinks. However, the Brazilian driver expects that when a spot becomes available at Mercedes, it doesn't have to be the best option for Vettel.

Return to Red Bull unlikely

"Lewis is in the right place at Mercedes. If Lewis stays, it's going to be very difficult for Vettel to go there. Of course everyone wants to see the two drivers in one team, but I don't know if that's true for the team as well. Of course you shouldn't forget the problems between Hamilton and Nico Rosberg. I don't think Mercedes wants to get that scenario again."

A return to Red Bull Racing also seems unlikely. "We must first see how (Alex)Albon will develop. If he can give the team what they expect, there is no reason to change anything. As a top team you want two drivers who can score both points. Sebastian can be an option, but then the current season should start," said Massa.
