The Austrian Volksblatt reports that the safety concept to hold two races in July on the Red Bull Ring has been completed. The concept now lies with the Ministry of Public Health of Austria.

Security concept

The safety concept needed for the two races at the Red Bull Ring in Spielberg was sent to the responsible ministry in Austria on Thursday. A serious investigation was promised by the Minister of Health.

It will involve two so-called 'ghost races'. The concept contains all the requirements of the government. "We have taken into account all known demands so far and are now waiting for a response", said Red Bull Racing advisor Helmut Marko this morning.

Austrian Health Minister Rudolf Anschober said they could not examine the concept overnight: "For organizers there are always different peculiarities. However, I assume that it will be taken very seriously because of its great economic potential."

Advantage

The concept is to reduce the number of employees per Formula 1 event to a maximum of 2,000 people, who are also sufficiently tested before and after the event. An advantage of the circuit is that it is located almost directly next to the Zeltweg airport and that the accommodation can be reached quickly and easily.
