James Allison praises Lewis Hamilton's integrity and believes the British rider has a 'utterly unblemished record' of world titles to his name. According to the technical director of the Mercedes, this is something unique in Formula 1.

I’ve been lucky to work with people who have had the highest integrity. And I do think that that is a characteristic that marks out Lewis," Allison says on Mercedes' YouTube channel. He's sure Hamilton will be able to do that for several years to come. "He’s one of the oldest drivers on the grid now. Still drives like one of the youngest."

Hamilton has won seven world championships in his career, six of which at his current employer. In the interview, Allison concluded that Hamilton has earned those titles under his own steam and hasn't played dirty games on the tarmac. “But in a career of multiple championships and countless wins you’ll struggle to find a moment on the track where you see Lewis do something ugly."

Unspoiled record for Hamilton

According to the British top man, this is something very unique. “I hope that he manages to keep this going for the remainder of his driving career because it’s an utterly unblemished record," said Allison, adding finally: “You’ll see him do many, many breathtaking things, you’ll see him do brave things. But you won’t see just crude, dodgem car, bumper car stuff, or any sort of artifice to the way he drives."
