Vettel: "We also have things on our car that can make a difference"

Mercedes introduced the DAS system during the winter test in Barcelona and there has been a lot of discussion about it. Officially it may be used this season, but when used Red Bull Racing will protest immediately. In later seasons the DAS-system will be banned again, so that creates a very cloudy picture.
Making a difference
In that sense, Ferrari didn't talk so much about the DAS system, also because they had other things on their minds. Including the discussion with the FIA about the legality of the engine in 2019. But with a view to the new season, Ferrari still has some work to do with the SF1000. Aren't they lagging too far behind the rest, especially Mercedes, which can use the DAS system?
Sebastian Vettel doesn't expect that it will run at such a pace, he says in a video conversation with F1-Insider.com. "I don't think that will determine whether Mercedes wins races or not. Mercedes knows best how much it pays, but one must also admit that Formula 1 is about details and that is one of the details". And speaking of details, Ferrari also has such details, says the German: "We also have some things about our car that can make the difference".
FIA agreement
It goes without saying that Vettel was also asked for his opinion on the much-discussed FIA-Ferrari deal. "What I know is clear: the FIA and Ferrari have reached an agreement on the subject. And what I said in Australia: we all rely on the FIA to keep an eye on the teams so that they do nothing illegal".
In that context, according to Vettel, in 2019 Ferrari has not been acting illegally, because "if that had been the case, we would have been disqualified".
