Prior to this season the possibility for Lewis Hamilton to break the record of most Grand Prix victories was widely discussed. With the uncertainty now hanging over the rest of this season, it seems increasingly unlikely this year, but according to former World Champion Mario Andretti he still has plenty of time.

"His results speak for themselves," says the American to Yahoo Sports. "He's young enough to take the record for most victories. It's a record I never thought anyone would come close to. A record which, of course, is in the name of Michael Schumacher."

Andretti does, however, immediately comment on the performance of the Brit. "But of course, he's always had a winning car. I can't remember a moment in his career where he didn't have a car with which he could win." Andretti still finds it admirable what Hamilton has achieved with those cars.

"He's just doing a good job, I've always been a fan of him and I think many other drivers are envious. He's got the equipment and he makes the best of it and that's what a driver should do."
