Max Verstappen will step into a virtual Holden Commodore next Wednesday to go racing in the Supercars All Stars Eseries. The Red Bull Racing driver, who is also an frequent sim-racer, will join the full cast of regular Supercars drivers for four races.

The Supercar isn't easy to drive

Verstappen says he's looking forward to taking on his sim-race buddy Shane van Gisbergen. "I’m looking forward to the race", says Verstappen to Motorsport.com. "It’s going to be a challenge as it’s not a car I’ve driven a lot on the sim, but they are pretty cool to watch in real life."

"I’ve tried the Supercar now a few times on iRacing and it’s a very tricky car to get right", Verstappen says. The Dutchman is curious where he will stand in the field of only real Supercars drivers.

Van Gisbergen

Shane van Gisbergen is also happy to see that Verstappen is entering the online competition. "It’s awesome that a driver of Max’s calibre will be on the grid to take us on in a Red Bull Supercar."
