Bernie Ecclestone can only grin right now. Formula 1 is at a standstill and according to the former top man the new ownerrs are failing. According to Ecclestone, the way of communicating isn't up to the standard he desires.

''Nobody knows how the situation will develop, so you'd better throw out this whole season," says Ecclestone to German Sport1. Bernie has made more of himself in recent weeks. For example, he was looking at the communication around Ferrari-gate, but he was also looking at various options for the Formula 1 season to resume.

No democracy

So Bernie seems to give some changing information, because according to Bernie Liberty has to make some decisions. ''Liberty thinks they know what to do, but this isn't basketball or American Football. There is far too much talk now and that doesn't suit the DNA of Formula 1'', notes Ecclestone.

''I used to get a lot of criticism about my preference for dictatorship, but now there have to be individuals who take decisions. During this corona crisis it becomes clear once again that a democracy doesn't work. Democracy has never worked in F1. It's better to lead the way I did. Otherwise there would never have been anything'', concludes the former F1 boss.
