Auto, Motor und Sport has been informed that the first two races of the season could just as easily both take place in Austria. It will be difficult, but according to Helmut Marko it is feasible.

"Spielberg can adapt quickly"

On Monday, the chancellor of Austria announced that 'there will be no freedom of travel as long as there is no vaccination for the virus'. Nevertheless, in July they hope for a double Grands Prix in Austria at the Red Bull Ring and there they have one big advantage, according to Red Bull top man Helmut Marko.

''You have to wait and see, because we are not alone in the world. Even if you could organize it, you still have to take into account the situation in other countries and the possible travel restrictions. As long as no one is allowed to go here, we can't race,'' says Marko.

Double Header in Austria?

Still, the Red Bull Ring is the right location to use first. "The advantage of Spielberg is that we can act quickly here. Everything is already done here, so you could basically start right away. So many tickets have already been sold, you don't have to postpone it for financial reasons.''

Marko doesn't dare to say whether the Double Header is actually there in Austria. ''There is a possibility to race there directly, but it will depend on Liberty Media and the rest of Europe'', concludes the top man of Red Bull Racing opposite Motorsport Magazine.
