Real Racers Never Quit: Verstappen into action six times this week during simrace
- GPblog.com
It's anything but an ideal situation, but still the F1 fan gets a bit of racing entertainment. For example, the F1 organises official simraces itself, but other simulation teams are also working on this. Team Redline, among others known for its prominent member Max Verstappen, will also set up a multi-day event: "Real Racers Never Quit".
Team Redline's event consists entirely of sim races spread over two weekends. There will be six evenings on which two races will be ridden each time. This means that Max Verstappen, among others, will race more than forty other racers no less than twelve times on the sim in a short period of time.
Verstappen hopes the coronavirus situation will improve quickly, but until then he will keep himself busy with sim racing. According to Redline the drivers themselves were the initiators of the event: "It keeps me on my toes. I can't do much else because everyone has to stay inside. I love simracing so I try to enjoy it", says Verstappen.

Date and time confirmed. This Monday at 21.00 CET the drivers will compete in Round 1.
We would have never been able to do this if the drivers involved hadn’t approached us with this idea, so a massive thanks to them

Six evenings of simracing
Besides Verstappen also famous names such as Lando Norris and Stoffel Vandoorne participate. The drivers will race the next two weeks on six occasions. Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday an event is scheduled at 21:00.
The evenings will consist of two races, each with half an hour of training and two laps of qualification. This means that there will be two races on Monday already. You can stream the race on Team Redline's live website, on their Youtube account and on their Twitch channel.
