Helmet Marko and co might be confident, but Max Verstappen is a little doubtful over his chances in the Australian Grand Prix. The Dutch driver, along with the other F1 drivers' completed pre-season testing on Friday.

Great tests

"In itself, it went fine," Verstappen said to Verstappen.nl. "We were able to do our program and it all feels good to us. I don't know if it will be enough, but I just hope we have collected as much information as possible."

Verstappen is hopeful the team can use the information correctly to even out any problems with the car.

The Red Bull Racing team seems to be better prepared than ever. "But that must of course also be shown in speed," says Verstappen. “We don't know that yet. Normally, stability in the rules helps us, but I think everyone continues to develop well, so we'll see."

Collaboration with Honda

For the second year this year, Red Bull is working with Japanese motorcycle supplier Honda. The collaboration started well in 2019, but according to Verstappen, it will all be even smoother in 2020. “In the past year we have learned a number of things, such as the installation of the engine and things like that. I think it is fairly normal that things are now a bit easier."

Verstappen seems to be ready for the first race of the season in two weeks. Then we will really see where the Red Bull is on the grid in terms of speed.
