Lewis Hamilton stops on track with engine problem!
Lewis Hamilton has stopped on track during the fifth day of testing with what seems to be a power unit issue, bringing out the red flag in Barcelona. Hamilton had been in the garage for the first hour of the afternoon session at the Circuit de Catalunya and had completed 14 laps before grinding to a halt out on track.
Hamilton had set the 12th fastest time of the day, ahead of only Alex Albon. There have been some issues with the Mercedes power units in Barcelona over the last fortnight, with Williams also reporting some issues.
2020 sees a chance for Hamilton to equal Michael Schumacher's record of seven F1 world titles after taking advantage of the Silver Arrows incredible reliability in 2019. He's the favourite for the title this year but will need to avoid such issues as this one to fend off the challengers.
