Lando Norris feels more comfortable with rookie year under his belt
Lando Norris made quite the impression in his debut season in Formula 1 and with his rookie season under his belt, the Brit is looking forward to kicking on and he feels more comfortable.
Norris finished 11th in the Drivers' Championship last season scoring best finishes of sixth at the Bahrain Grand Prix and the Austrian Grand Prix. With his first season in the pinnacle of motorsport completed the McLaren driver is ready to push on.
“My rookie season was an incredible experience and I learned a lot from the team and from Carlos," Norris told the McLaren website.
"With my first year under my belt I feel more confident as a driver and in the feedback, I can provide to my engineers as we keep pushing the performance of the car throughout the year.
"We aren’t setting ourselves targets yet for this year as we know it’ll be tough to maintain the position we ended 2019 in, but I’m looking forward to seeing where we are compared to our top competitors in testing and going racing again.”
Thoughts on the MCL35
On Thursday McLaren launched the MCL35 with a slightly updated livery. The Bristol-born driver hopes the fans will like the car and reflected on the hard work that's been put in.
“I think the MCL35 looks great with its updated livery – I think our fans will love it and I’m really excited to drive it for the first time," he added.
"A lot of hard work and development have gone into this car from the design team, the engineers, the car build team and Carlos and myself, and it’s a special feeling to have been involved in its evolution."
