These F1 drivers have shared a podium most often
- Nicolás Quarles van Ufford
Throughout F1 history there have been 108 different Grand Prix winners, with Charles Leclerc being the latest addition to that list since the Belgian Grand Prix. The top three winners ever in the sport as Michael Schumacher, Lewis Hamilton and Sebastian Vettel, but which drivers have stood together on the podium most often?
The trio who have been on the podium most often together are Hamilton, Vettel and Nico Rosberg. They shared the podium for the first time in 2014, with Mercedes' dominance that year and the two years after being the reason Hamilton and Rosberg were often found spraying champagne alongside each other.
In total, the trio have been on the podium together 14 times, all coming in three seasons' time, with the first time being at the 2014 Malaysian Grand Prix. The final time was Rosberg's final race - Abu Dhabi 2016.
Eight of the 14 times, they finished in the same order as well: Hamilton first, Rosberg second, Vettel third.
Second and third
In second place, we once again find Vettel, but alongside a different duo. During his dominant years at Red Bull Racing, the German was on the podium 13 times with then-teammate Mark Webber and Fernando Alonso. Five of the 13 times, they finished in that order as well, with Alonso's Ferrari being beaten out by the two Bulls.
Tied for third place are two trio's. David Coulthard, Mika Hakkinen and Schumacher stood on the podium together 12 times, as did Hamilton with Valtteri Bottas and Vettel. The former took place between 1997 and 2001 while the latter is of course still ongoing.
One combination which we could see much more often in the future is Hamilton, Leclerc and Max Verstappen. Up until now, they have only stood on the podium together once at 2019's finale in Abu Dhabi.
