Following the outbreak of the coronavirus in China, which was declared a public health emergency by the World Health Organisation, Motorsport.com reported the Sanya E-Prix could be canceled or rescheduled.

Currently, the race is set to take place on March 21st. However, with the WHO's declaring the situation a health emergency, this could throw a spanner in the works, with options of postponing the race or even cancelling it being mulled over by the sport's directors. Motorsport.com does stress no decision has been taken as of yet.

Other options, should the race be cancelled, include having another double-header at the season finale in New York, or having another race in Europe.

To be updated.
