Giovinazzi is prepared for a "difficult season" as midfield battle remains tight
Antonio Giovinazzi is ready for a "difficult season" as he expects the midfield battle to remain tight in 2020. The Italian experienced a relatively positive first year in Formula 1 which saw him learn a few lessons.
"I still need to improve in some aspects. I learned a lot in the first year but I am sure that in the second season I will be much more ready in Melbourne than I was in 2019," Giovnazzi has reported to Corriere dello Sport.
Midfield battle
Alfa Romeo finished ahead of both Haas and Williams last year, but could only muster eighth-place. Giovinazzi says he's expecting the midfield battle to be close again at every circuit.
"I think the cars will be quite similar, especially in the centre of the group we will all be very close again. So it will be a difficult season, but we will work hard and try to get the best out of our car," he added.
