Formula 1 legend Felipe Massa thinks it's very possible his former Ferrari teammate Fernando Alonso will join him in Formula E, as the Brazilian also applauds Alonso's current effort in the Dakar Rally.
Massa and Alonso were teammates at Ferrari for four seasons between 2010 and 2013, with the Spaniard beating Massa in the standings in all seasons they shared a garage.
Alonso failed to bring a championship to Maranello as Red Bull Racing reigned supreme, although the 37-year-old did finish second in the championship in three of his four years at Ferrari.
Speaking on his former teammate, Massa expressed his admiration for Alonso's current adventure in Dakar.
"It'll be a great experience for him and something different for all of his fans," he told SoyMotor.com when quizzed about it.
"It will be very hard, it's an enormous challenge for any driver, so it will be amazing to see him compete out there. I would never do it, but it will be brilliant to watch him do it!"
Massa joined Formula E team Venturi in 2018 a year after retiring from F1 but things didn't exactly go to plan as the now-38-year-old finished 15th in the championship, getting one podium in the process.
He sits 19th in the current FE season and thinks Alonso could join the sport in the future after his adventure in Dakar is over.
"It'll be easier for me to convince Fernando to come to Formula E than for him to take me to Dakar!" he joked.
"Yes, I think it's possible Fernando could come to Formula E in the future. With Fernando, anything is possible."
