Latifi pleased with "productive" first day as a Williams driver!
Nicholas Latifi says he is happy with his first day at Williams as he tested for the team in the post-season test on Wednesday in Abu Dhabi. The Canadian will drive full-time for the team in 2020 after being confirmed for a race seat last week.
Latifi took part in six FP1 sessions for the backmarkers this year and replaces Robert Kubica at the team. He told the F1 cameras that he was delighted with his first day as an official F1 driver.
He said: "It was a good day, a bit knackered now to be honest, it was a lot of laps in a very short time!
"It was very productive, I got the experience of the 2020 tyres. It was pretty smooth so I'm happy with my first official day on the job.
"We've got a big checlist to go through before the end of the year and then I'll go back home for the holidays, so I'm very much looking forward to that."
