Lando Norris experimented different driving styles in Abu Dhabi post-season test

McLaren driver Lando Norris used the Abu Dhabi post-season test to experiment with "different driving styles" on Tuesday, with the season coming to an end on Sunday.
Norris was one of the drivers who was in action during the post-season testing, just two days after completing the final race of the 2019 Formula 1 season at the Yas Marina Circuit.
The 20-year-old drove 104 laps, which accumulates to almost two full race distances, with a best time of 1:39.741 (P6 on the timesheet). The testing is intended to find out about the 2020 range of Pirelli tyres, but Norris did admit that he used the day to try out some different approaches to his driving style.
"It's a Pirelli test so obviously we've been trying out lots of tyres today, 2019 and 2020 compounds, and conducting back-to-back comparisons," Norris said.
"Short performance runs but also long runs without changing anything on the car so that tyres can be compared. But it was also a good day for me to explore different driving styles and techniques.
"Overall, it's been a productive day with good mileage achieved and with both the team and I learning a lot."
Norris finished in 11th-place in his rookie season in Formula 1, with his team McLaren looking somewhat like their old selves once again, finishing as the "Best of the Rest" in P4.
