Carlos Sainz labels Lando Norris a "gentleman" for his reaction after Brazil GP
Carlos Sainz has praised Lando Norris for the way that he reacted to the Spaniard's podium last time out in Brazil. The youngster celebrated with the team and was a "true gentleman" in the way that he reacted with McLaren.
"I must say Lando behaved like a gentleman the whole day, he put a smile on his face even though I'm sure it was not entirely easy," Sainz was quoted by Motorsport.com.
"But he was genuinely happy for the team, happy for me, and it's something nice to see. True gentleman, even though he looks like a kid!"
"It felt good, I think as good as it can get, because a podium starting last you never expect it. But honestly, this year we have been so many times best of the rest, that if the only race that something happens at the front I wouldn't have got the podium, I would've been really, really angry."
Sainz has had an incredible season and will hope to beat Pierre Gasly to the 'best of the race' at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix this weekend.
