Max Verstappen looks ahead to 2020: "I want to win titles, that's what counts"
Max Verstappen will be hoping to back up his race victory in Brazil with another strong performance at the final race of the season in Abu Dhabi. The Red Bull Racing driver does not know how competitive his team will be at this circuit but thinks that Mercedes are the favorites.
"I have no idea who is the strongest here, but if you look at the season as a whole, you have to name Mercedes as a favorite. I hope, however, that it is all as close together as the last races," Verstappen said at a press conference.
When asked if finishing on the podium behind the Mercedes would be a success, Verstappen was clear with the goals he has for the near future.
"It's always better than being fourth after Sunday, but in twenty years' time that's not going to make me happy. I want to win titles, that's what counts."
Verstappen will hope for a strong end to 2019 and keep the momentum going into the winter break as he looks to challenge for the world championship in 2020.
