Bottas set to start from the back in Abu Dhabi!
Valtteri Bottas could be set to start at the back of the field at the final race of the season in Abu Dhabi as engine penalties look set to come his way. Bottas was forced to retire from the race in Brazil last time out, so is set to at least take some penalties.
The Finn will have a new engine, turbo and MGU-H, which is set to be a 20-place grid penalty, which could ruin his chances of a happy ending to a fairly successful season for him.
Bottas has taken four wins in 2019, in Australia, Azerbaijan, Japan and the United States, taking his tally to seven for his career. He will continue to race for Mercedes for a fourth year in succession in 2020.
Bottas is getting a new engine in Abu Dhabi following his retirement in Brazil. He will have a grid penalty as he is over the limit on permitted engine parts. Details yet to be confirmed but likely back of the grid
