Nico Hulkenberg missed out on securing a seat at Renault next season after the French team elected to sign up Esteban Ocon for the 2020 season. It now looks as though the German will be calling time on the sport but he doesn't feel like has unfinished business.

The 32-year-old made his debut in 2010 and has since gone on to make 175 race starts, picking up 511 points.

"It doesn't seem like unfinished business, because I've done my duty," Hulkenberg told https://www.motorbox.com/.

"I've had good performances over the years, very consistently. Many times, how many others were not hired or could not find a place, I was still wanted, and I was hired and paid to drive

"Of course, I wish I had a different kind of honours, the more points, podiums and victories, but I know the reasons why things have not gone well. I am at peace with myself

"I sleep well at night. I would like to keep running but otherwise, life will continue."
