Ahead of Sunday's Mexican Grand Prix where Lewis Hamilton could be crowned champion for the third year in a row, we are live for FP2, the second and final practice session at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez!

Free Practice 1 recap

FP1 was an interesting one, with the track still being wet from earlier rainfall as the session began. Inters seemed like the way to go for the first 20 minutes or so and it must have given all teams some vital data, as both qualifying as well as Grand Prix have a good chance of being in the rain.

On track, it was extremely close at the top between Hamilton, Charles Leclerc and Max Verstappen. The trio were within a tenth and a half of each other in that order, although Leclerc was on a harder tyre than his colleagues, with the Monegasque setting his time on the medium compound.

Valtteri Bottas finished fifth - that, combined with Hamilton in P1, would be enough for the Brit's championship to be confirmed should this result be replicated on Sunday.

For Williams, Nicholas Latifi stepped in the FW42 rather than Robert Kubica, with the reserve driver getting a run in the seat to which he's been heavily linked for next season. He finished the session at the bottom, however, as he was a second off the pace from the rest of the field.
