McLaren have admitted that they aren't happy with the amount of time which driver Carlos Sainz is getting at races. The team are currently fourth in the constructors' championship, 34 points ahead of the team below them, Renault.

The team has had growing concerns with how the TV media cover the team this season, particularly with the upturn in results.

“We are working on it. We are having several talks with Formula 1 about it, " McLaren sponsorship manager Daniel McEwan said.

“It’s important for our drivers and our partners. We constantly work with Formula 1 to try to adjust and improve our visibility in the media.”

The team recorded mixed results at the most recent Grand Prix in Japan, with Sainz coming through in fifth, while his teammate Lando Norris ended in thirteenth.
