Reverse grid races set for Paul Ricard, Spa and Sochi!
The controversial reverse grid qualifying races are set to be given the green light for 2020, with the French, Belgian and Russian Grands Prix the three events Ross Brawn has picked out to host the experimental format.
There have been ideas floating around the sport for a while aimed at making racing more interesting, but drivers and fans alike seem against the idea of altering qualifying.
However, everything points to the plans going ahead. The races will be 45 minutes in length, with no mandatory pitstops, similar to the sprint race in Formula 2.
But, and it's a big but, these trials can only go ahead with the backing of the teams, and with just four teams supposedly in favour of the 2021 regulations, these plans may never come to fruition.
What do you think of the reverse grid idea? A silly gimmick, or a change for good, despite the controvery? Vote below!
