FIA acknowledges Racing Point's Renault protest
Hours after the Japanese Grand Prix finished, the drama continues to unfold. The FIA have confirmed they have received a protest from Racing Point regarding the braking systems of the Renault vehicles.
Renault is said to have installed a system on the cars of Nico Hulkenberg and Daniel Ricciardo which offers the option of using a preset, varying, brake balance over a lap. The protest has been accepted by the FIA but no decision will be made in the immediate future.
Instead, the stewards have until Wednesday to reach a decision on the protest due to the technical nature of the matter at hand. If it is indeed established that Renault uses unauthorized parts, it can have considerable consequences for the team.
Comisarios han aceptado la protesta de RPoint contra Renault. Habrá una investigación detallada. Algunas piezas han sido precintadas.
