Renault introduce new front wing and other changes to try and catch McLaren
Renault are currently losing the battle of the midfield by 30 points with McLaren looking comfortable in fourth. There are still five Grand Prix's left for the French team to try and catch up and they will hope that their small upgrades will help them this weekend in Japan.
“We are coming with a new front wing and a new wing on top of the chassis. Externally the changes are subtle, but I think this will give us more downward pressure and control," said technical director Nick Chester.
Renault will hope that the changes improve the performance of their car and that they are able to compete with McLaren for the rest of the season.
Renault have improved after the summer break but McLaren have also and this battle in the final stint of the season will be very tight.
