Red Bull set to introduce new fuel in Japan to get most out of Honda engine
- Tom Mason
Astin Martin Red Bull Racing are set to add further technical updates next weekend in Japan in hope of creating a positive result for the team. A new fuel will be brought in for the race which will finish the development on the engine.
The team will look to fight back to Mercedes and Ferrari who have had the better of them in recent times, particularly Ferrari who have won three of the last four races.
The fuel, as reported by Auto Motor und Sport, should complement the new Honda Spec 4 engine very well, although it is unknown what exactly is different about the fuel mix.
Red Bull Racing are comfortably third in the constructors' standings ahead of McLaren by over 200 points but are also 98 behind the team above them, Ferrari.
They will try to undermine how competitive the W10 will be most useful in the first sector, with the SF90 which has largely been better on the straights.
