The action continue at the Marina Bay Circuit as the drivers and teams get one last chance to prepare themselves for qualifying later today. Will Mercedes dominate, will Red Bull take top spot, or will Ferrari spring a surprise?

What happened yesterday?

FP1 started with a thud for Valtteri Bottas as he locked up into turn 19 crashing his Mercedes bringing out the red flag with half an hour to go. Max Verstappen was quickest in the end but it was a return to problems for Ferrari and Charles Leclerc as they encountered a gearbox issue.

The Silver Arrows also had a run in with the stewards and they were fined $5000 for a breach of fuel temperature. Hamilton’s fuel was registered at a temperature of 20.3 when it should have been 32 degrees celsius.

Mercedes resumed normal service in FP2 as Lewis Hamilton topped the timesheets, beating out FP1 winner Verstappen. Bottas was able to take to the track but following the earlier crash couldn't provide any serious pace. Alex Albon suffered a hectic start to the evening hitting a barrier straight on losing his front wing, while Perez and Kevin Magnussen were summoned to the stewards after an incident between the two. Perez was eventually reprimanded for the incident.
